What BreakShare is

BreakShare is a free tool for finding overlapping college break dates among a group of friends and planning meetups around them. It's provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Break dates are not guaranteed accurate

Break dates come from a curated dataset built from official academic calendars at a point in time. Schools revise their calendars. Always verify exact dates against your own school's current registrar calendar before making travel plans, bookings, or other commitments based on this app. We are not responsible for any cost, inconvenience, or missed plans resulting from inaccurate or outdated break dates.

Groups and shared data

There are no user accounts. A group is accessible to anyone who has its join code or share link — you're responsible for who you share that with. Don't enter sensitive information into a group (this isn't intended for anything beyond names, college, class schedules, and casual meetup plans).

Acceptable use

Don't use BreakShare to store or share unlawful content, to harass anyone, to attempt to disrupt or abuse the service (e.g. scraping, spamming group codes, or attacking the backend), or to misrepresent who you are in a way intended to harm someone else.

Your content

You retain ownership of whatever you type into the app (names, schedules, meetup notes, custom college data). By entering it, you give the app permission to store and display it to other members of the same group, which is the whole point of the feature.

No warranty, limitation of liability

BreakShare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app.

Changes

We may change these terms, the app, or discontinue it entirely at any time. Material changes to these terms will update the date at the top of this page.
